Wupatki. The First of Many.
I’ve been to Wupatki National Monument several times over the past 2 years. These Native American Pueblos were built nearly 900 years ago. The first time I was there, I pretty much had the park to myself. When it comes to photography at a National Park/Monument, that’s a rarity. My guess is that tourists pass on this little known spot on their way to the more widely publicized Grand Canyon. This shot was captured at the Wokoki ruin, just as the sun was rising.
