Another White Rim Morning
This shot was taken on the same morning as Clearing Storm on The White Rim (scroll down to compare). Note the bare, white sandstone along the perimeter of the canyons in the distance. When I shot Clearing Storm, it was wet from the rain storm that had just passed through, and gave off an almost blinding glare. In this shot—taken less than ten minutes later—all of the moisture has already been absorbed or evaporated. Standing water doesn’t last long in this environment.
