Discovering Gold

As soon as I packed up from shooting “An Arch Through an Arch”, I jumped in my truck (2006 Nissan Pathfinder in Avalanche White with recently repainted rear bumper courtesy of Deer Valley Auto) and headed back to the Courthouse Wash. No time for breakfast. The 2 Clif Bars I had before sunrise would have to sustain me. I thought that the strong sunshine would really light up the golden leaves on the trees lining the wash, and I wasn’t disappointed. I explored the bank above the wash for hours, ignoring my hunger while taking dozens of different shots. I would return again the next day, and the next!

A close look shows that there’s still water down in the bottom of the wash.
