Vibrance

Here’s a shot from my visit to Arches National Park last October. This cottonwood was the most vibrant tree in the wash, yet I had a hard time finding a composition that I felt showed it very well. I hiked past it on the opposite side of the wash on three or four separate occasions without finding a good shot. When I finally explored the other side, I found this little red shrub that I could not ignore. I thought that the threatening sky brought it all together quite well.IMG_6542-2
